This card is easy to use and get vps. But to get maximum vps, you need to fill up your whole farm. Also, you need to limit yourself to 3 fields (and lose 2 vps). Or work hard and plow 6. It is a similar situation with rooms. So this card gives an easy 3 vps and you have to sacrfice or work for more. Sounds balanced, I like it. chris

I also think it is well-balanced. It would give a very easy 2 points, for your house and 3 fields. Getting more requires some effort, though not much. To get maximum points off of this, you'll probably have to sacrifice on building rooms and maxing out your pastures. Would combo well with some small-house strategies, where you can plow 3 and fence 12 or (with a plow) plow 6 and fence 10. tacticus

Thank you for your compliments. It's also possible to get 6 or even 9 rooms. Or 3 columns of pastures, so it can combo with a variety of cards, too. colby

Just looking through some of the least-commented on cards.

This one probably hasn't had much attention because it doesn't seem to need any work. It has a nice original concept, focusing on farm geography (which many of us like), an acceptable play rate and power level. No issues here!

This is totally unnecessary, but it could also give you points for columns of unused space.

It could use a new name. Cloister Dweller seems very generic.

I'd name it after one of the monastic orders that emphasized manual labour (often on farms). "Cistercian"?

I like this card a lot and don't think it needs tweaking really. But, I wish it said pastures not pasture so you could build a one x one and one x two in the same colum have it still count. Works really nicely with a six room house agrigal

That might make it too easy. As it is now, it requires sacrifice.
