Backyard (minor) Cost=1W, Vps=0, Prereq=2 Occupations Any 2x2 Unused farmyard space, where 1 of the spaces is orthogonally adjacent to your home, provides room for 1 person. (Once one of the spaces becomes used, move the Family member back to your supply or your home if you have room.) [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

"that borders on your home" is ambigious. It could mean that this is necessary: (H)ome (B)ackyard (E)mpty E E E H B B H B B The german text says that only 1 of the farmyard spaces needs to border your home. So this is allowed: E B B H B B H E E "Improving" a space is no Agricola term. Dont know a good wording right now but this one is not good. |

IF you have room? And if you don't? Family Member goes away? Can't add into the unused space? Major errata needed. Allows you to be 1 extra room ahead of what you've paid for. Very powerful. Isn't this WHE all over again? Getting 2 occs out before 1st family growth is no barrier. |

It says that the Family member goes back to your supply. Or it goes to your home, but only if you have room. And since theres the WHE question again (dont worry, your not the only one) i repeat it again: Not every card that provides 1 extra room should be banned like WHE. WHE is banned because it effectively creates 3 extra rooms for other players if you sit before the guy who drafted it. |

| Initial Impressions: Interesting card. I think Uwe must have thought that keeping the 2 empty spaces (-2) would balance out the peep (+3) if the peep is kept the whole time. What it does allow you to do is build a room around a peep, not build then addd a peep, which is pretty interesting and cool. | Nov 4, 2010 12:03am [quote] |

| BT, what 2 empty spaces are you talking about, doesn't this card require 4 empty spaces? 2x2? | Nov 4, 2010 11:50am [quote] |

So if I have a Backyard and a Cowbell I can keep 4 cows and a peep in my backyard. Fun. |

This card is really too powerful - it's cheaper than remodeling and WHE, but it's effects are the same. Play on SP to get first fg. Also you can use early wood for fences since you have no need to build room. The -4 pts at end of game (for unused spaces) is not enough of a balance in my opinion. |

When do we move this person to the supply? Immediately? Should we keep track which person is it? Do we free a space on the board when he already made an action? |
