Whenever another player takes 1 to 3 Wood from a Wood Accumulation space with a person, you receive 1 Wood from the general supply. (When you take Wood, you receive no benefit.) [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

there already is a wood collector, and this is surely better | Nov 1, 2010 11:20pm [quote] |

http://www.1st-art-gallery.com/thumbnail/162448/1/Gathering-Firewood.jpg Move it to the W Deck (although I doubt that is an option). Also, maybe this should be limited to play after round 6. Seems like wood grabbing is pretty heavy throughout the game though. Another option would be to limit it to the first person taking wood in a round forfeits 1 to the Firewood Gatherer. Otherwise this card is like spinney on steroids with no 3 occ requirement. |
Call the card Firewood Gatherer (or Dealer) and use this picture. Nov 2, 2010 7:00am [quote] (Edit: Nov 2, 2010 7:18am) |

Also, instead of just saying "accumulation action space," it should probably say "action space which accumulates wood." That would eliminate RSW and a strong combo with Wood Distributor. |
Like Spinney, this might just have the result of encouraging your opponents to ignore stacks of 3 or less. I think it need play-testing.Nov 2, 2010 4:37pm [quote] |

Are there any cards in this deck that are not broken? | Nov 3, 2010 2:12am [quote] |

Maybe it should be just the first time someone takes 1-3W you receive W from the General Supply. |
Initial Impressions: I think people are overstating this card. Yes, it can be seriously powerful in Wood Distributor game, so we should temper that, but it's going to make wood more available to other players since the owner if this card probably won't take Wood much himself.Nov 3, 2010 11:53pm [quote] |

I think it's probably on the stronger side, but not brokenly so. |
I played this card as my first occupation in round 1. I got a total of 10W from this card, but I was only able to use 6w of it. I think this card, while strong, is easily defensed since the other players can just take Wood at 4+ (similar to if there's a buyer in the game). I got 4w in rounds 1-4 then 6w in rounds 10-14 (if I can recall clearly.Nov 4, 2010 2:27pm [quote] |

This will always be good but only broken against bad opponents (though it doesnt have to be 3 bad opponents, 2 or maybe even 1 might be sufficient). |
I think it was 4w in rounds 1 and 2. And then people switched to not taking wood at less than 4. Nov 4, 2010 3:10pm [quote] |
