German speaker, if the Starting player uses TP on their last move, do I get a Vegetable if I have played this card (based on the German text)? | Nov 6, 2010 3:53pm [quote] (Edit: Nov 6, 2010 3:53pm) |

And I guess this isn't designed to be used in a 5er...? |
Do you get a V when you are SP?Nov 6, 2010 4:55pm [quote] (Edit: Nov 6, 2010 4:57pm) |

What this card is looking at is who is the starting player in the moment that TP is taken. So if you are Starting player when the round begins, but someone else takes the Starting player action during the round, the owner of Harlequin does not get a vegetable when you take TP as your last action. Depending on who took starting player he might get a sheep or a stone though. The card does not distinguish between you or the other players btizo. It only looks at the seating position. So yeah, this works on yourself taking the TP action too. |
Why shouldnt you chris? Nov 7, 2010 2:24am [quote] |

I was wondering if it was triggered by the specific person, OR the first, second, and third moves (only) of each round. |
Yea, i was wondering if the German said, "If the first action of a round taken is TP then you get a Vegi, if the second action of a round taken is TP, if the third, ..."Nov 7, 2010 11:21am [quote] |

How about a Grain for 4th person and Reed for 5th position? | Nov 8, 2010 1:54pm [quote] |

Seems a little too strong in that you get something if you take TP AND if someone else takes TP. The only other card that is comparable is Harbor Master (whose ADP is already 2.57) and fishing is a much weaker space than TP. | Jun 17, 2011 11:45pm [quote] |

Hi all. Played Harlequin in a game tonight. I took TP once and, since I was originally starting player of the round, I added a veg. Two opponents said this was correct, one was opposed and said I should have taken stone as someone took SP during the round, making me the 3rd person in turn. We saw the comment from Zlorfik but do we go with the comment here? Since there is no compendium for this deck, three of us read the card as it was and played it accordingly (the starting player of the current round.) The fourth player said we should have gone with the comment as it was the proper translation of the card. Your thoughts? | Mar 11, 2015 8:00am [quote] |

I have never seen this card played any other way. The text clearly says "of the current round". It doesn't matter who will be SP next round. | Mar 12, 2015 1:30pm [quote] |
