A This works for all spaces that include a family growth action.
B In the 5-player game, there is an action space that gives players a choice of actions, including family growth. From round 5 onwards, you may always use this space, even if you choose the other action.
C Grain fields are fields on which there is at least 1 grain marker. An empty, harvested field does not count as a grain field. Fields with other resources or food, such as Copse and Vineyard, do not count. [ref]
D The Acreage and fields on which a second grain has been planted using the Scarecrow count for the number of grain planted on them.
E You cannot use the action space if it is occupied by one of your own family members. [ref]
