To extend your home, you need only 3 of the appropriate resource and 2 reed for each new room.

A For example, if you live in a wooden hut, you need 3 wood and 2 reed.
B Can be used for every room you build, if you build more than 1 room. [ref]
C This card sets a new base cost for a room. If you also have another card that sets a new base cost (e.g. Clay Supports, Axe, or Clay Plasterer), you may only use one such card at the same time. If you build more than one room, you can choose the same or a different card for each room.
D After you've used the Carpenter, you may then also use any card that changes the cost of a room (e.g. Clay Roof, Ladder, Stonecutter, and Bricklayer).
E For example, if you also have the Bricklayer, you may use both cards to build rooms for 1 clay and 2 reed. [ref]
F You may not use this card to change the costs of the Wooden Hut Extension and Clay Hut Extension. [ref]
