If no other player has 1 of your fences, you can give each player 1 fence from your supply. Whenever one of these players takes goods (no food) from an Accumulation space, you can take back your fence from that player and get 1 Food from the general supply and that player gets 1 good of that type from the general supply. |

"Whenever another player takes goods from an accumulation space". It's not activated by fishing or TP (because food isn't a "good", IIRC). http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%50eter_Paul_Rubens-Die_Kronung_des_Tugendhelden.jpg |

Is the German not activated on fishing? Or are you pointing out that my English isn't when it should be? | Nov 4, 2010 11:37pm [quote] |

Shouldn't them be in the singular form? Whenever another player takes goods from an Accumulation space, you may give that player another good of the taken type from the general supply and you receive 1 Food from the general supply. The translation is good. Pijil wanted to point out that Food is not meant. |

In English, "them" is singular and gender neutral. | Nov 5, 2010 1:19am [quote] (Edit: Nov 5, 2010 1:24am) |

Quote from: chris on Nov 4, 2010 11:37pm Is the German not activated on fishing? Or are you pointing out that my English isn't when it should be? The german is not activated on fishing and TP. Technically, the same is true of your translated text, but only if you know that goods do not include food. Im pretty sure that not everyone knows that. The german has a text in brackets that says "Accumulation spaces are Action spaces, on which goods or Food accumulates". This makes it more obvious that this card does not work if someone else takes food. |

Yes pijll is right. The current text is not what pijll commented on. My first English did not have "goods" in it. But I asked the question to I understood pijll's comment. | Nov 5, 2010 10:08am [quote] (Edit: Nov 5, 2010 10:08am) |

My suggestion unfortunately adds 10 characters: "Whenever another player takes goods (not food) from an Accumulation space, you may give them from the general supply another good of the type taken. When you do this you receive 1 Food from the general supply." |
I'm probably being fussy, but I found the English text on this card a bit awkward. Nov 23, 2010 12:57am [quote] |
