Cost=3W,1S, Vps=0, Prereq=Wooden Hut At the end of the game, you receive 2 Bonus points for each Unused farmyard space orthogonally adjacent to your Stone house. (These spaces still count as unused when scoring.) [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

This is very similar to [THIS] card. I notice you use "each space" in the other card and "every space" in this card. Im not sure which is better but i would prefer to have both cards use the same word. I guess "each" is better. Also "Courtyard Garden" might be a better title perhaps? A stone house is something superior and yard garden sounds like backyard garden to me. |

G G G F F H H H G P H G G P P 4 rooms (nothing spectacular), 2 fields, 3 pastures, 6 gardens for 18 points! It can't be. Even with 2p per garden it is too much. |
The front garden appeared to be broken. This is more than broken. I can see myself getting 18 points out of it every game.Nov 9, 2010 12:03am [quote] |

broken good imo. the wooden hut preq was not much of an obstacle at all, especially since i was build 2 wood rooms. while the cost of the card is not trivial, it's well worth it and like fence less so again not much of an obstacle. used the planter box formationDec 10, 2010 10:19pm [quote] |

But then again maybe this card fits in FL since there are 2-3 cards in FL that let you FG in round 3. So FL is a pretty crazy mini deck already. Would this card be more balanced if you needed a Wooden Hut at the end of the game for it to work? |
Yea, i agree. I could tell Uwe again. I told him once and he added the 3 Wood cost (to the already 1 Stone cost) and added the prereq. He also wrote in the text that it cannot combine with Front Garden. But i agree he didn't solve its brokenness. This card just needs to be removed. Mainly because it is just the same as Front Garden from NL.Dec 11, 2010 9:45am [quote] (Edit: Dec 11, 2010 9:48am) |

at the same time it does make it even easier to play. right now since you have to play this in a wooden hut, your opponents could really focus on reno blocking you, costing you huge points. this would normally not work, but occasionally it would. |
it would clearly weaken it overall. right now one of the great benefits of this card is you don't have to develop your farm as much and can focus on improvements and bonus points. Dec 11, 2010 12:28pm [quote] |

This card is ridiculous and should be toned down. No minor should score 20 pts so easily. It is way more powerful than the mansion and easier to implement. | Dec 22, 2010 2:08am [quote] |

One way to look at this card: At three points per garden, it is the same as having a free stone room on each unoccupied space. Therefore a player can potentially get the point total of a 12 room house for 34 stone and 14 reed less. That is absurdly powerful. | Dec 22, 2010 2:27pm [quote] |

Why not just limit the number of gardens you can have? Maybe up to 2 gardens? | Jun 25, 2011 6:36pm [quote] |
