the thing about worrying about degenerate building combos: there's really only two ways to do that, and both involve cards a lot stronger than what we're putting into G2 (axe, supports) (supports in particular was a huge mistake on the designers' part IMO) ... anyhow, when you start talking about playing EIK+g2, you are cutting in half the possibility of seeing degenerate building combos etc etc, since we're half as likely to see those two cards that fuel them. I do not agree about the part where we remove the cap to make it stronger in some degenerate combo. I tried this in a game with Master Builder. I built 3 rooms at full cost and then extended to 6 with the Builder. I got 3 food with it and 1 bonus point in the end but it was a lot of work and it cost me too many resources to build those rooms. |
