Cost=none, Vps=0, Prereq=2 plowed fields Whenever you add a room to your Clay hut, you can pay 2 Clay, 1 Grain and 1 Food instead of 5 Clay and 2 Reed. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

For you only or for anyone? What about Clay Room minor improvement? | May 23, 2011 11:01am [quote] |

Only for you. Clay Hut Extension minor improvement would have no effect on this card (the cost for a room with CHE is zero) but Bricklayer would. | May 23, 2011 11:25am [quote] (Edit: May 23, 2011 8:57pm) |

I like cards that allow new strategies. This one encourages early plowing and early reno. | May 23, 2011 8:31pm [quote] |

I like it but I think this is too cheap. Make it at least 3c instead of 2c. | May 24, 2011 2:59am [quote] |

Ok changed. Thanks Hala! | May 24, 2011 9:42am [quote] |

Should I keep the wording as is, implying that your costs for a clay room are permanently changed? Or should I word it like Clay Supports, implying that I can choose whether to build a clay room paying 5 clay and 2 reed or 3 clay, 1 grain and 1 food? | May 28, 2011 2:33pm [quote] |

I wouldn't have thought the "instead of" clause was necessary. |
Is a requirement of "plowed fields" (as distinct from "fields") meant to disallow counting card-based fields like the Bean Field and Acreage?Jun 14, 2011 10:03am [quote] |

And the "instead of" clause is there just to make sure people know you have a choice. The wording is taken directly from Clay Supports. But if people prefer "...you may pay 3 clay, 1 grain and 1 food" better (modeled from Brushwood Collector), I can change it to that. |
My intentions for using a plowed field pre-requisite was to weaken how this card interacts with Grain Cart or Corn Scoop, without forcing the more difficult 2 grain field pre-requisite, which is only easier to use if acreage is in play. But if people like 2 grain fields better, I'd be happy to change!Jun 15, 2011 2:36pm [quote] |
