Cost=2F, Vps=0, Prereq=none Place a marker on the next round. During that round, you place 1 fewer Family member. At the end of that round, remove the marker and play 2 Occupations for free. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

This can either be passing or non-passing, depending on which people like better. | May 23, 2011 11:06am [quote] |

Very interesting card. I'll vote yes so I can see more of it in play. | May 23, 2011 11:38am [quote] |

i would prefer if i placed the card in front of me, and pass it on AFTER i played the occupations. | May 24, 2011 6:24am [quote] |

It would be a new mechanic. Nice stuff. |

Okay, let's give that a try then - I like the idea too. | May 24, 2011 5:55pm [quote] |

I'm not against new mechanics but they really should have something compelling about them- and delayed passing for larger effect does not pass that test in my opinion. |
We already have a passing mechanic and don't need a new one, especially one that is easily forgotten/hard to track. I feel like you should be able to walk up to a game of Agricola and understand the game state completely without the need of memory.May 31, 2011 8:08pm [quote] |

Something I think would be pretty awesome would to have a special mark on the card where the passing arrows currently are - something like an arrow and a clock, indicating it passes after 1 round. Certainly not necessary, but would be a fun way to visually see the mechanic. Also, edited the card for a typo. |
Obviously, I (respectfully) disagree. This card started out as passing, and the current mechanic was a collaboration of user suggestions.Jun 1, 2011 1:18am [quote] |

to put the effect a bit more in line with usual agricola language it should be something like "add 2 to the current round and put one of your family members on that round space. at the beginning of that round, return that family member home, play up to 2 occupations and pass this card to the player to your left" |
even though i suggested to move the passing to a later point i agree with trey. but the problem is not so much the passing, but the future effect at the END of a round.Jun 1, 2011 3:09am [quote] |

one simple question, what if I play it in round 14 assuming that there is a Reeve (most occs ] 3BP). Still legal? If so , it seems unfair. | Jun 1, 2011 3:42am [quote] |
