Whenever another player uses a "Family Growth" action, you may convert 1 Wood to 2 Food, or 1 Wood and 1 Reed to 5 Food. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

i think it should be 4+. it sounds weak anyways. my best compare is to cards that give 1 food per round, and those are weak too. 3f per w would probably be too strong. | May 26, 2011 6:37am [quote] (Edit: May 26, 2011 6:38am) |

i think it's playable at 2f. better than turner or cabinetmaker (which are both terrible of course). |
i'd prefer this trigger for any player. is there a reason i can't make a toy for my own kid?May 26, 2011 7:35am [quote] |

You can do a toy for your son, but what parent would charge him for it? Will think on it, I like it, but feels too simmilar to O's Child Prodigy (which I've never played and don't know its relative power). |

Neat idea. Its essentially a better Cabinet Maker or Turner that starts working from Round 6 on. | May 26, 2011 8:48am [quote] |

At minimum, it should activate for your own FG as well. |
In a 3 player game, it's currently worse than Cabinet Maker (a very weak card). It also doesn't get the benefit of the one thing Cabinet Maker has going for it, the Guildmaster combo.May 26, 2011 11:35am [quote] |

I don't like it triggering off your own FGs, maybe changing 1 wood for 2 food -or- 1 wood +1 reed for 5 food? Or would it be overkill? | May 26, 2011 2:59pm [quote] |

Or would it be overkill? i think that makes it too powerful in 4ers.i guess its best to test it with the 1w to 2f conversion. a small improvement would be to opiontally allow the use of clay instead of wood. |

We just need to somehow make it work with Master Woodcarver. The theme just asks for it . |
After seeing this in action I think this is a perfectly fine card. 1w+1r is quite expensive on stage 2 when you need to worry about your own fg and 1w to 2f is nothing game breaking ever. Later it can feed as a nice food card if you have some excess wood and reed.Jun 3, 2011 2:34pm [quote] (Edit: Jun 3, 2011 2:35pm) |

Would adding 'that opponent may pay you some food to receive the wood/reed' improve this? | Aug 8, 2011 4:34pm [quote] |
