Uwe added this new card. How strong do people think it is? It certainly combines nicely with Mendicant.

In Round 1, you can play this with your first action and then place you're second peep on this card for 4R and 2W. Then in the next round you can place on this again for 7W. Later in the game, you can play Mendicant.

Therefore for 4 actions, you get 4R and 9W. I guess that's not busted. You also allow others to take Reed and Wood easier. But I'm sure there's better ways to play this.

Perhaps in the same game, you can place another person on it in round 14 and take 2 Cattle, 1 Boar, 1 Sheep, 1 Grain, 3 Vegetables for 13VPs - 3VP beggar.

This also combines nicely with Foreman and Forewoman. Should we advise Uwe not to make Action spaces "for you only"?

I'm a bit nervous about taking begging cards myself, but I would definitely play this at least for grain, veg, sheep, boar, 2 cattle towards the end of the game (8 point move, assuming you spent all of your other actions hogging Majors and Renoing). slim

I read the card as saying that you have to take all different resources, so you can't take 4r2w or 2 cows.

The point about foreman/forewoman is well taken though. Chisel is a problem too.

Yes, you are right. You must take different Goods. So you cannot do what i say in my first post.

Chisel isn't a problem. We thought about cards like this and wrote Chisel so it wouldn't combine with such cards.

doubt it would be used in the early game as it currently stands (unless you've got a combo to get rid of beggars). 1w, 1c, 1r, 1s, 1g, and 1 sh? c? b? for -3 points. I don't foresee ever taking that deal.

only foreseeable place would be late game to gain a few vp's from not having animals or veg/grain. of course, that's not a bad concept for a card if that's all that's intended.

GAME REPORT:

I just played this card in my last game. I came in second place, 55-48-41-34. This card worked out very well for me. My plan was to play this card early and start growing Cattle and Vegetables. I had Milking Stool, Turnip Field, and Mendicant .

I played this in Round 2, and took the Action space twice in Stage 1. The first time i took Grain, Veg, Cattle, Wood, Clay, Stone. Then I built 2 pastures with 7 Wood and was ready to take more animals. The second time, i took Grain, Veg, Wild boar, Cattle, Stone, Wood, and Clay. (I had Clay Roof so i didn't bother with Reed.). I ended Stage 1 with a pair of breeding Cattle.

Everything worked out well. Milking Stool and the breeding animals together with my Cooking Hearth feed me easily through out the game. I thought i was going to win. However Isch played great and used his cards well for the victory.

GAME REPORT

http://play-agricola.com/Agricola/GameLogs/allturnserver.php?x=97064

I played this card in a solo game. I made some mistake during this game. My final scores is 71, and I use collector
4 times, I even didn't return any beggars. Truly my other cards is very powerful, but I only have 2 stone rooms.

The key is collector is very flexible to fit other combo, almost everything you can image. So it's a very good trade
with merely 1 beggar card.
