Kitchen Table (minor) Cost=none, Vps=0, Prereq=none For you, all "Bake Bread" actions now read "Bake Bread or place 1 Food from your supply on Kitchen Table." At any time, you may return 1 Food from this card to your supply and take a "Bake Bread" Action. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

Two uses of this card: 1) Sow Grain, Bake it at Harvest 2) Build an Oven, then take Grain afterward. |

Whenever you could "Bake bread" you can instead place 1 food from the supply on this card. At the end of the round, if there is 1 food on this card, return it and Bake bread. Allows you to delay the bread baking until the end of the round. |

| I think this is a great minor improvement card! Thematic, cost is ok, and best of all, supports a particular food strategy, i.e. baking grains. | Jun 7, 2011 2:17am [quote] |

Less wordy, less rules, less bookeeping, more thematic text: You may delay any "Bake bread" actions until the start of the next round. |

You don't need the parenthetical text. When I first read the card I thought "can he also delay MY baking?" With the current text I would say YES, so if this is not the intent of the card, you should say "You may delay any OF YOUR "Bake bread" actions until the start of the next round". I also think the card should be free, since its usefulness is very very limited. I will rarely want to delay my baking. |

I actually prefer strongly the previous wording. Whilst it is longer, it provides me with the flexibility of choosing when I need to take the bake bread action. That flexibility is now lost with the current wording, i.e. I have to take the bake bread action at the start of the next round. I am moving my vote to abstain. |

Basically, the wording is trying to say that your delay period ends when the next round begins, i.e. you can use your baking action anytime between now and the end of the round. But I do agree it can be clearer, so I'll try to make it more explicit. Thanks Yeoster. |
