very interesting idea but very hard to fine-tune.
I think right now it is definitely too weak.

Vote yes for the idea, as jingking says it probably needs fine-tuning. Also, food markers on every space will clutter the board, and confuse on fishing/tp. tacticus

Very creative. I like it. I assume another player cannot take the Food you place on an Action space.

You can address my above question by using tokens instead of Food, and you can remove the the thing about it being your first time:

Whenever you use an Action space, you may mark it with a generic token (designating that the pests have been exterminated). At the end of the game, if there are only 2/1/0 infested (non marked) Action spaces, you recieve 1/4/8 bonus points.

i suspect this is very hard to do, but maybe i'm wrong. that's a fair amount of food and reno/fence, plow/sow, fg w/o room can be tough to come by, especially if someone knows it's an extra 4pt move for you. having said that, perhaps i'm wrong. i'd like to see it play tested. i wish more people would be willing to play test cards. hunter

Edited. Replaced "food from the General supply" with "markers". Points up from 1/4/8 to 3/6/9. hala

Great idea, but I would never want to play this card.

Like hunter said, only 1 player can ren/fen so I wouldn't count on the 9 points ever. If I miss 1 other action on the board I have been scrambling and taking sub-optimal actions for a measly 3 points. Theres a ton of occs that gain you 3 points without much effort.

This card would be much better if there was a way to play this card at the end, so you could only play it if you happen to be that player to ren/fen and if your game allowed you to take every action. People wouldn't block you and it would be fun to start thinking about the possibilities during the game, perhaps taking an action nobody expects and making things interesting.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem feasible, so I'm gonna have to vote no on this version.

how about this :
When you take an action space, leave an "exterminated" marker on it.
For 4/5/6 entire stages of action spaces marked as "exterminated", you gain 3/5/7 bonus point.

that modification sounds good. less markers to place and a decent chance to score 5 points.
without needing to take DL and TP and fishing.

Ken used this yesterday. He exterminated the vermin from all spaces except from the two renovation spots, but it must be mentioned that he had the worst conditions to do it. FG was round 7 and he was (I think) third to it, then he never built the fourth room but grew to 4 with round 12 FG w/o room. Besides he had massive food issues. He mistakenly centered all his game around the pest issue and his farm suffered as a consecuence. But after this experience I think there shouldn't be hard to do it in a normal game if you don't concentrate exclusively on it and if the conditions are more favorable. hala
