At the start of each Harvest, you may discard up to 2 Minor Improvements from your hand to receive 2 Food each. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

I love the name and the picture! |
To receive 2f. At 1f it's way too weak.Jun 20, 2011 9:38am [quote] |

I think the number of Minor Improvement used during one game is 3-5, ordinarily. To immediately receive 4-8f by discarding 2-4 cards seems overpowered. But to receive 1f may be a little weak. Do you have any ideas? |
Is this too weak? I guess to receive 2f is too strong.Jun 20, 2011 10:19am [quote] |

It is better to say 2 Food and then slow it down some way like: At the start of each Harvest, you can discard 1 Minor Improvement from your hand to receive 2 Food. At the start of each odd-numbered round, you may discard.... "At the start of each round" will still be too strong since you can still get 6 Food in stage 1. And you are right, you must slow it down if it pays 2 Food per Minor, 4 or more Food in Stage 1 or 2 is too good. |
I disagree that 1 Food is too weak. Since you say "at any time" 1 Food is the right amount. Because you can play this in Stage 1 and take 5-6 Food immediately and still have 1-2 good minors. However this makes the card very narrow since there is no other way to use it.Jun 20, 2011 10:26am [quote] |

Quote from: chris on Jun 20, 2011 10:26am You can say 2 Food and then slow it down some way like: Each Harvest, you may.... At the start of each odd-numbered round, you may discard.... (this sounds weird but it prevents 4 or more in Stage 1 as opposed to 'at the start of each round' or 'once each round') but you are right, you must slow it down. more than 4 Food in Stage 1 is too good. It's nice idea. I adopt your idea. change: At the start of each odd-numbered round, you may discard your unplayed Minor Improvement to receive 2 Food. to: At the start of each odd-numbered round, you may discard 1 Minor Improvement from your hand to receive 2 Food. Add "1", and change "unplayed" to "from your hand". |

I propose even-numbered. I don't like cards that make a difference between those that have the chance to play an occ in R1 and those that don't have this luck. If you make it to trigger at the start of even-numbered rounds, they all have a chance. | Jun 20, 2011 11:20am [quote] |

So, you can play this in Round 1 or 2. ("Even-numbered round" would be too good if someone plays this in Round 1. Then they could convert a minor in round 2 and 4 for 4 food) |

I think it makes a more difference between those that can play an occ in R1 and those that can't. "At the start of each Harvest, you may discard..." slows it down a bit but makes a fairer chance for all? |
If even-numbered, a player who plays an occ in R1 takes 4f(at 2R and 4R) in Stage 1, but one who plays it in R2-3 takes 2f(at 4R).Jun 20, 2011 12:14pm [quote] |
