From bottom to top, stack 1 Stone, Reed, Clay, and Wood on this card. At the end of each round, move the top resource to the bottom of the stack. Whenever you receive the top/bottom resource type, take 1 additional/fewer resource of that type. (Take from or move the resource to the supply). [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

Would love to hear some thoughts - think it would be a fun card to try and play correctly. |
The idea behind this one is a new type of Resource Seller - one that rotates between the rounds. However, you have to plan carefully, or you may find yourself needing the resource on the bottom of the stack, and being forced to take one less of it.Sep 4, 2011 9:00pm [quote] |

1st round: +W -S (the round you play card) 2nd round: +C -W (next round) 3rd round: +R -C (next next round) 4th round: +S -R (next next next round) 5th round: repeat from top |
It looks interesting. Here's a little chart to help people see what's happening in another way:Sep 4, 2011 9:09pm [quote] |

If people like the general idea of a rotating +/- resource seller, then we can fiddle with the exact order later. |
Thanks Chris - that's exactly right. Though the order can absolutely be changed. As it is currently, you can never get 2 stone with RSF without losing a reed, though you can gain 2 reed without losing a stone.Sep 5, 2011 12:45am [quote] |

Vote for it folks! |
I played this guy today. This is one of my favorite G3 cards, that kind of card that requires brains and imagination to play. I received 3w 3c and 1s with it, and I forgot to rotate it during the last 2 rounds, in which case I would have gotten 1 more clay. I never lost anything with it but it did place a strain on my game, much more than what Resource Seller does. Very very very nice card to play. I wish there were more cards that make one think as this one does.Oct 13, 2011 5:11pm [quote] |

I am the biggest supporter but still I have an understanding issue about it. Suppose there's wood at the top and stone at the bottom and I have 2 moves. I take wood with the first and stone with the second move. Do I get -1s? Does "the first time you receive the top/bottom resource type" mean "the first time you receive the top resource type and the first time you receive the bottom type" or "the first time you receive either the top or the bottom resource"? | Oct 14, 2011 1:17am [quote] |

Thanks for the support, Hala And Beso too. It applies to your first top and bottom resource per round. So it's possible to gain a resource and lose one in the same round. That way you can't take 3W with wood on top, then be safe to grab RSF with stone on bottom later in the round - you'll still lose the stone. If anyone has a clearer text, I would be happy to make changes. |

I like it a lot, but the wording is difficult as I initially thought you meant removing/adding to the stack itself not from what you received. Adding something like "you gain 1 extra from the general supply" and "you must pay 1 to the general supply" would clarify. | Nov 24, 2011 10:46pm [quote] |
