I would like to get some opinions on the piles composition. i was thinking about adding something for the sixth field. |
The Archaeologist takes his time, he doesn't get hasty with plows and stuff, but examines one field after another to find the treasures .Oct 1, 2011 3:57am [quote] |

if you want to add a 6th effect you could make one of each building resource +g+v. |
i think it's powerful enough, or even too powerful. how about moving the order to 1 Vegetable, 1 Grain, 2 Stone, 1 Wood?Oct 3, 2011 4:19am [quote] (Edit: Oct 3, 2011 4:20am) |

I think the pile composition is good as it is. I don't want to be forced to plow 6 times to get that veggie. | Oct 3, 2011 5:11am [quote] |

letsdance suggested that you have to work a little for that grain too. |
okay, so the pile remains 5 resources. but what about that early grain? Oct 3, 2011 5:14am [quote] |

maybe 1v 1s 1g 1s 1w? | Oct 4, 2011 1:25am [quote] |

as it is now, i would always play this card. taking a g is an action, so i save an action already when i use it the first time. not very interesting. | Oct 4, 2011 2:24am [quote] (Edit: Oct 4, 2011 2:35am) |

Early Wood or Stone might come in handy for minors. So in most games i think making it V,S,G,S,W will make the card slightly better. |
Most of the time you do not need early Grain, but just 1 grain at the end of the game. On the other hand, with the grain, you can use your plowed fields immediatly(but again, archeologists are not really concerned with agriculture).Oct 4, 2011 2:27am [quote] |

So in most games i think making it V,S,G,S,W will make the card slightly better. The question is, what the purpose is this card for? For example, if it stakes such as(from top) G-S-V-C-W, the playing strategy is clear: take g, and try to get an oven, then you take V, clay for FP/CH or renovation. It's an early plow-sow strategy card. So, if archaeologist doesn't belong to this kind, we even don't need to stack it with any grain or vegetable. Maybe it is just fine with w-c-c-s-s or something else. |

the archeologist should find different things in the earth, that might be helpful: wood, stone and different seeds. i do not want him to enable a plow-sow strategy, but to help a little here and there. therefore my new proposal would be(from bottom): V,S,G,C,W. now its different stuff all the time, each time with "arguably" more value. |
yes i think thats the right question.Oct 5, 2011 5:01am [quote] |
