An attempt at an early fencing strategy card. May seem weak compared to Carpenter, but it does give you the flexibility of discounting wood or reed.

Could make it 1/3/5/7 for 1/2/3/4 building resources, though that would combine with Axe to make wood rooms free. Not sure what people think about that.

there are other cards that let you hold more animals without building pastures, and you can keep 1 in your home anyways.

if you want to support early fencing, you could tie it to the number of pastures on your farm. that also reduces the risk of when sheep are available.

there's already a pasture-house building card. i think it's simple rancher or something similar.

maybe this is more of an early breeding card. i like that too.

I'm quite familiar with Simple Rancher And while Dance's pasture idea is good, it is pretty similar to him already.

I guess rather than early fencing this one is encouraging early animal collection. But I agree that if sheep are late then he's pretty weak. The breeding idea might be worth a look.

Actually, the pasture idea is also similar to my Tradesman, which nobody seems to care about inoshishi

No way! Later in the game, 5 animals are not a big deal, and building stone rooms with a discount of 5 would be explosive. The idea about this card is precisely that you need to be in wood to use it, and the animals come late in the game, thus making your clay and stone renovations more problematic.
