Too similar to outhouse, and much stronger imo, because you actually have control over it. slim

If you change the cost to 1W and 1R it should be alright.

To make it more interesting, you could change the cost to 1W and 1R and only 1VP. Then in the text add, "At the end of the game, you receive 1/2 Bonus points if you have 1/2 Reed."

(then you could get an overall 2-3 VPs from it)

Changed the cost as suggested. The parallel with outhouse is intentional, though the motivation for it is different. The idea behind this is to give small-house players/ intentionally-late fg-growth strategies a way to earn points. ladywhale

Changed the cost from 1W 1R to 1R, to make this an even more competitive first pick.

Let me know what you think.

I am not sure I like the change. Does it really support small-house players? It is conceivable that players take RSF and SP this in the first round and take 2 Reed in the next. There is no really connection between this card and what you called small-house strategy. beso

I agree, but I think the change is good. At 1w 1r, nobody would play it. At 1r for 2 points, somebody could make the rsf+SP opening move, but that move wouldn't be nearly as strong as Land Net in place of Intimate Decor.

Yes, I agree such a change would sacrifice some of the theme. But the benefit might justify the cost. Few people would view Outhouse as a competitive pick. The work done in getting 1W1C early on and finding an action to play it before the requirement fails is just too costly. 1W1R might be too costly for a low-peep strategy too.

To still favour small-house players, perhaps I could add: "From Round 11 onwards, this card costs nothing to play"?

I like the design goal of rewarding small-house players. Why not do that directly with bonus points at the end of the game?
Requirements: None
Cost: 1r
VPs: 0
Text: At the end of the game, score 4/3/2 bonus points if your house has 1/2/3 rooms.
