In this game i had market crier, which i got 7th pick in the draft (which is not unusual since crier normally sux), which combos very nicely with Steamer to provide lots of food. I guess theres more cards that could create such a combo. I think Steamer produces a lot of food but thats not bad, you normally dont really need such big amounts. In that game i had Immigrant from the Y deck though which costed tons of food so i could really use Steamer very nicely. I also think it would be a very good card in FOTM cause you could use all that food to take more special actions. |
I finally got a TestMe game together the other day, besides Test Me we also added the Y deck.Jul 20, 2010 2:13pm [quote] |

(and 2 wood is pretty cheap for this...) |
I think this should also have a clay cost, considering its cooking capabilitiesDec 15, 2010 4:30pm [quote] |

I agree about the clay. | Dec 15, 2010 4:54pm [quote] |

that is the new subtlety I'd like to introduce to the game. |
the main intention is to have a cooking improvement without clay cost.Dec 15, 2010 5:06pm [quote] |

ok. But it should come at a premium then. Thematically you never really steam meat. You smoke it. | Dec 15, 2010 5:28pm [quote] |

What about making it 3 wood, and no point? guys did you notice that every conversion must accompany a grain? I thought that is hard enough for the benefit. Also all cooking/baking improvement comes with a VP. Though I do agree that 1VP and cost 3W may have a chance to be more balanced than 2W. But I cannot decide that yet. |

I think it's fine like it is. It requires a very strong source of grain to be a big-time food converter. | Dec 29, 2010 1:25pm [quote] |

played 11/22 sounds very balanced. | Jan 5, 2011 7:23am [quote] |
