The problem with this newest version is that eliminated all use of the player number, which I think was a neat and unique feature Uwe was trying to incorporate. Maybe something like:

"Reveal 2 Occupations randomly from the deck and add them to your hand. You may immediately discard 1 of them to receive a number of different building resources equal to the difference of the 2 player size numbers on the left of the cards."

I think this will pay out somewhat similarly to the version you've got here now, but still uses the intended feature.

That way, it's always two random resources and two occupations and can be costed appropriately.
