If there are 1/3/6/9 rounds to play you receive 1/2/3/4 Clay. At the end of the game all players with a Clay hut receive 2 Bonus points. (This card does not give Bonus points for a Stone house.) [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

Maybe this card should be occ 4+ |
Is this too much early Clay? I know in 4-ER there is a 2 Clay spot but in 3-ER there is only a 1 Clay spot.Aug 5, 2010 8:49pm [quote] |

I don't think it's a big deal. If it gives you a leg up on snatching the FP, that's ok with me. | Aug 5, 2010 9:06pm [quote] |

I am one of those guys that don't consider renovation to stone as a must. Many times I prefer to work on building a nice farm and let reno for the last moves. If I can do it, great, if I can't, I stay with my clay hut and my nice farm. This card would give me one more reason to do this. |
I love it!Aug 6, 2010 12:58am [quote] |

I think this card has merit, but I can see it being a 4+ since it might be too much Clay in a 3er. | Aug 7, 2010 6:17pm [quote] |

yeah, I think 4+ is a better idea. | Aug 9, 2010 6:45am [quote] |

I agree. In 3-ER it takes 4 Rounds to acculate 4 Clay on the "Take 1 Clay" spot. | Aug 9, 2010 7:23am [quote] |

I played it for a victory yesterday. Very good card. | Aug 12, 2010 4:48am [quote] |

Yes it's a very strong card, but I don't like it. Unlike the other 1/2/3/4 cards, you can get the bonus points in 95% of the games without any trouble at all. So this card just gives 4c and -2vp to anyone who doesn't end with a clay hut. That's not much fun I'd say. Also, in a 3er, 4c is a lot in the first stage. | Aug 12, 2010 9:13am [quote] |

Also, what's the great threat from getting a lot of clay in the first stage in a 3er? So you buy a Cooking Hearth. Big deal. Fireplaces work exactly the same way in Stage 1, and 2c is easy to get, even in 3ers. |
The bonus points for the Clay Hut are more similar to the Grump (from G deck) than the other 1/2/3/4 cards. Yes, it's easy to get, but you'd get more points by renovating to stone, just like it's easy to have the smallest family, but you'd get more points by having 5 family members.Aug 12, 2010 9:30am [quote] |
