At the start of round 6/10/13, you may (before phase 1) build 1 Wooden/ Clay/ Stone room if your home is made of the same material. Pay 1 less Clay for the Clay room and 2 less Stone for the Stone room. (When you play this card, place the Room tiles on the corresponding round spaces.)

Does 2f/4w mean 2 Food OR 4 Wood? If it is OR, then this card is pretty strong. You can get up to 5 Stone rooms without paying building resources to extend your home past the original 2 rooms.

No. It means AND. The food is the fee to pay to the lawyer to handle the title transfer :).

I think this is your best card so far. And the theme is perfect too.
I still have a problem with the prices. I think you should say "... by paying their normal cost". It is good enough that you don't have to bother to go to "build room" action space, that uses to be pretty crowded. And the text would be shorter. So, one action instead of 2 or 3 is good enough in my opinion. I am confident that even with the normal costs being payed the card would still be played a lot.

Anyone else want to weigh in on Hala's comment? I am leaving it as is unless I get some response that it would be better with hala's revisions.

I disagree a little with Hala. I think you should offer a discount (like you do or maybe more). People don't normally want to build Clay and Stone rooms. Who wants to pay 5 Clay + 2 Reed and then 5 Stone + 2 Reed. Most people build Wooden Rooms and then renovate into Stone.
For someone to play your card they must have 4 Wood and 2 Food before Round 6 (this is no problem). Then they build their 3rd room. Next they must pay 3 Clay and 1 Reed before Round 10 to reno(no problem). Then they need another 4 Clay and 2 Food before Round 10 (not too bad) to build their 4th room. Then they need 4 Stone and 1 Reed before Round 13 to reno to Stone and another 4 Stone and 2 Food before Round 13 to build.
A person needs 8 Stone before Round 13 to build that last Stone Room. Thats kinda tough. In 2-ER and 3-ER a person will need to collect all the Stone from the board. If their opponent takes Stone once, they stop this card's last benefit. (If you make them pay full cost on the Stone Room then if Stone comes out in Rounds 7 and 11, this card is impossible to play without cards that support getting Stone.)

i'd say this would be one of the two or three best occs in the game, as printed. saves you three actions and discounts 1w, 1c, 1s and 6 reed, at the cost of a bit of food? pretty stellar. but saving actions is key. IMO too strong. make them pay the reed and not food.
make them pay the reed and not food.
Yea, maybe charge 1 Food AND 4 Wood & 1 Reed, 4 Clay & 1 Reed, 4 Stone & 1 Reed
Then its weaker than Thatcher since you need to pay Reed to reno. Also it saves 2 actions since the third action (building Stone room) is easy for your opponents to block. And all occs save 2 actions, otherwise why play them? If they only save 1 action, then just take that action instead of playing occ. Also if you want stables you will have to waste inefficient actions for them.Quote from: glengarry on Aug 7, 2010 3:16pm

I don't understand your comment about the stone room, Chris.

Which one? The one about blocking the building of the Stone room?
A person needs 8 Stone before Round 13 to build the Stone Room (without other card discounts). They need to reno to Stone costing 4 Stone before Round 13 and then they need 4 more Stone before Round 13 starts to buy the Stone room.
Someone must play your card in Stage 1, so everyone knows they need 8 Stone. Everyone else can easily stop them from getting this Stone. In 2,3-ER just take the Stone spot once to stop them. In 4-ER take the Stone spot and jam up RSF a little.
