This card is intended to be a riff on the pond cards from EIK using a Farmers of the Moor common theme of placing food (and fuel) on used spaces. agrigal

Chris had this card in a game yesterday night. I don't know what "empty" means. I only know "occupied" and "unoccupied". Please rephrase in a way that can be easily understood (by my and others like me). For the moment I understand that empty mean unoccupied. So you get the food when the space becomes occupied (when you plow or build something or whatever) but at the end of the game the spaces still count as unoccupied? I mean you get -3p even if the spaces have been occupied? hala

1) Actually the terms are not called "occupied" and "unoccupied", they are called "used" and "unused".

2) Agrigal did use official Agricola language, the term empty is used on many FotM cards. Her text is similar to this card:

3) As seen on this card, it does not use the last sentence that you, Agrigal, use on your card. I therefor agree with hala that it should be removed to avoid confusion.

4) Although the term "empty" has been used on fotm cards, i agree that we should use the EIK term when the 2 card sets differ. And empty is never used in EIK. I would therefor agree that you should substitute the term "empty" in the second sentence with "unused".

5) I like the card!

It is meant to be very similar to Duck Pond. I think it's a more interesting Duck Pond. The similarity to Johnny Appleseed doesn't seem like a problem either: there are a lot of cards that provide food in one way or another, and since Johnny Appleseed is a poorly balanced card (too weak) in a seldom-played user-created deck, it shouldn't bar similar minor improvements. tacticus
