Interesting. I'd play it without regret in Round 1, often. tacticus

tweaked. always technically playable for 1vp (so long as you have no occs) but food is only available except in rounds 3-7. i considered making the food come at the end of the game, but it will be more often than not worth waiting a couple rounds.

i am really torn on the issue of easy-to-play minors in round 1. i think most of the good players understand how valuable it is to have them, and on the one hand, i think G2 needs some. on the other hand, we all know how brutal it is to go 4th, and have the player who went first go Occ; then SP. This card is one minor blow against that tyranny, haha.

Its more Agricola-like to say, "If there are 7/8/9/10/11/12 rounds left to play, place 1 Food on the next 6/5/4/3/2/1 rounds. At the start of those rounds, you receive the Food."

Cards start with the "if clause" or time information.

nods, appreciated. If I didn't want there to be a few more Ponds in the game, I'd have called this 'Liquid Alms' haha.

my intention is that this is playable in round 1, but for no food. so i'm rewiring it a bit to make it clear. obviously like Alms, the tradeoff being: its worth a VP but with less flexibility and no immediate Food delivery.

Maybe add in parenthesis, "(You may play this in Round 1 for zero Food)". chris

I like cards with a "No Occupations"-requirement because they help with an alternative strategy, namely not playing occs early stijn263

I don't think this is neccessary.

Uwe likes this and recommends removing the 1 VP:
