This card is not fun if the player just play it for fence action.

It should have "1 field" or "2 fields" prerequisite. The strength is ok then and it will be different enough from hammer.

that changes dramatically if you save a few wood when doing so? i think it's not very exciting in any case, it just removes the endgame struggle for fencing actions. we don't need another hammer.

Replace it.
Shouldn't "replace" always be the preferred option with T deck cards? We have unselected published cards with proven stats that won't even need testing.


(as an aside, I think players are interpreting "next" to field tiles to mean only the long edge of a fence is considered but technically 1 side of a field tile can have 3 fence peices "next" to it. So that's an issue.)
