i think "all other player" would be better. ss

I think it's better the way he has it. It would only kick in if you have 2 and another has 4, or if you have 3 and another has 5. Only working when another is 2 ahead really cuts down on the abuse potential. It would be very weak if you simply changed it to "all other players," since allowing every other player to get 2 family members ahead of you is pretty rare, and a recipe for losing. If you changed it to "all other players" and "one family member" it would be too similar to a G deck card, the Late Bloomer.

A language thing: "has 2 or more family members than you" is ungrammatical. I suggest:

If, at the beginning of each round, any other player has at least 2 more family members than you, you may place a guest token that round.

this card should say ".. has 2 or more more family members ..." or "... has 2 or more family members than you..." chris

You could also do it like the "friendly robber variant" in Catan.

"anytime any one player has 2 more family members and/or all other players have 1 more..."

I like this card, though.

This card is turning into G Deck Late Bloomer. That's not good:

Perhaps:

"At the start of each round, if another player has at least 2 more Family members than you, you may use 1 Guest token that round, or if all other players have exactly 1 more Family member than you, you receive 1 Wood."

Or replace 'wood' with some other benefit (but not a Guest).

Here's my shot:

Whenever, at the beginning of a round, one or more players have at least 2 more family members than you or all other players have at least 1 more family member than you, you immediately receive 1 guest token that you can use that round.

Possibly no need for the underlined part.

Hard to abuse, you need to be well behind. Yet I can envision some dangerous combinations with Animal Farm, Loom and/or Hill farmer.

Please read my comments above. This is too similar to Late Bloomer.
