Once each round, you may place a person on an Action space without immediately taking the action. Instead, you may take that action immediately after any of your other turns that round. At the end of that round, if you haven't taken the action, you receive 1 Begging card.

The idea is that you could place a family member on "Family Growth," then use your second family member to build the room, then take the Family Growth action.
You'd have to be pretty sure you can use the action, because the incentive for blocking is very high. It could also be used just to block actions, but hopefully a beggar is enough of a penalty to dissuade much of this.
It would also be useful, and less risky, to take Plow/Sow or Sow/Bake, then grab up some seed, or sheep, then fireplace.

This is a very novel idea.
It can be used to take Plow/Sow (get Grain Veg later), FG (Build Room later), Build Room (get Wood after taking spot), Take Animals (build housing later), Reno (get resources later), Fences (get Wood later).
I like it.

That's a pretty good list Chris, but there's more. One of my favorite things about this idea is it allows for some creative play. You can use it to lure people into blocking you, use it to delay playing a minor until you meet the prerequisites, use it on Occ/Improvement spaces when you haven't decided which card to play.

While it might be a good choice for "build room" (since you can just build a stable in case you didnt get the required resources for a room), its not likely to be playable with "fg" (for the same reason, opponents may easily build a stable here)

It will occasionally be playable on FG. Sometimes you can look at the table and be pretty sure no one will stable block. Sometimes you can bait them into stable-blocking, then play some alternate way to get room, like Farm Steward.

Edited slightly to allow for use with cards like Adoptive Parents or Keg, which otherwise would be weird.

I can't say if I like this card or not yet. It sounds like it could really make people obscure their action taking priorities, but I don't know how strong it is. This card needs to be tested.

Yeah, it's a very subtle effect, so it's hard to evaluate. I'm worried people will see it in their hand and think "Oh, that might do some cool things, but I can't predict them, so I won't bother playing it."

i can't see enough opportunities to use this to see it getting tested, though its a very novel and interesting idea. but it might be a better card than i think, yeah. how else to bribe them? i like the subtle 'take one food' a la my boastful fisherman. then people can run it out while trying to get up to Quarry or something
