No. Because it specifies only fields with no vegetables can get a vegetable.		 nwoll

If you have 3 fields and 3 grain in round 5 and plant them to have 9 grain plus 3 vegetables on your fields, then with Lifting Machine you can "harvest" 1 veggie from these fields at the end of round 5 and 6 and then play an occ to refill these veggies before the harvest in round 7.
From then on you can do this only once in round 8, 10 and 12 if you have other cards that help getting those crops off of your fields to sow again (e.g. Clearing Spade).

If you go for a animal-heavy game but draft a nice endgame plow and get 4 empty fields and somehow 4 grain before the end, you can sow once and get 12 grain (4 to eat) and 4 veggies to get full points for both.		 firnefex
