Since i got good feedback on my Village School, i looked for another way to make use of the useless cards in your hand.

My first thought was "except the 1st,4th,7th and 10th" but i toned it down some more.

Now, to get 6 (5) bonus points, you got to play this in round 3 (4) the latest and play a maximum of 2 (3) other occs and/or minors. That sounds like a reasonable constrainment to me.
It will be stronger if you got broom or professor.

i dunno if 1/4/6/8 isnt the way to go. its so difficult to play occs early that do nothing but score bonus points at endgame (ie dont help your development at all) ... it seems like a round 11 play should be able to squeeze out 2 points... glengarry

If you play village fool in round 1, place a card under him every other round, that will be 13 cards(6 occ 7 min). 1 3 5 7 9=5 13-5=8 easy vps
I like this card, but I also think you should have to pay 1f whenever you place a card under the village fool(or something like that).
I would much rather have 8vps than no cards to play.

I disagree. Destroying all of your occs and minors is not "easy points" by any stretch. tacticus

It is easy, because it does not use up a single action or resource. And if you have one or two really good cards, just play those and its 6 vps. goatpig

There are a few other occs that do similar things in G and G2:

This is something of a hybrid between the two, less strict but more demanding: to really benefit from this you have to destroy most of both your occupations and improvements, but you can still play a few of each.

In my opinion, you'd seldom be able to drop more than 8 total cards without it really eating into your game. 4 points for an early occupation is fine. If you get 8 points off of this, you're playing the family game against opponents playing the full version (unless you have Broom or Professor).

This is broken with the broom. May be you can say "...put 1 card from your -original- hand under..." ? agentricola

It's not all that broken with the Broom. All the Broom or Professor would do is give you some cards to play with: you could never go over 8 points with this. Braggart is much more broken with the Broom.

Like goatpig said, you dont need to do anything for your 8 points and you still can play all of your best occs and minors (with broom).
The only thing is that you have to play this early (compared with braggart). But still, if i play this not until round 4, its 5vp free of any cost (actions & recources).
And i dont want to have to compare cards to the braggart, compare it to estate manager
