Cost=1W, Vps=0, Prereq=2 Grain in Your Supply In the feeding phase of each harvest, you can use this card to exchange 1/2/3 grain for 0/1/2 bonus points and exactly 3 food. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

If you only use this in the last harvest it's strong for crop strategies. That you can do so multiple times is mind boggling. | Aug 18, 2016 3:16am [quote] |

"In the feeding phase of the last harvest, use this card to exchange 4/5/6 grain to 2/3/4 vp and 3/4/5 food" seems clunky that way... someone will come up with some better tweak anyway |
yes, but that would take a LOT of grain to get the vp from it. (then again, with everything giving 1g in this deck, probably not that hard) Aug 18, 2016 4:44am [quote] |

Chris, the card you reference has a larger cost, and what's even more important a 0 grain requirement! That means it has to be played in stage 1 for early baking strategies. On the other hand, Keg Beer can be played in r12 when you've spent all game hoarding grain. Not to mention Beer Table gives food to your opponents. A s1 card that gives bonus points at fixed times is totally incomparable to a card that can be played any time for optimal number of points. | Aug 18, 2016 5:53am [quote] |

Why is it necessary to have the word exactly prior to 3 food? Seems bizarre. |
Current wording: In the feeding phase of each harvest, you can use this card to exchange 1/2/3 grain for 0/1/2 bonus points and exactly 3 food.Apr 1, 2020 4:56am [quote] |

1grain = 0pts and 3 food ; 2grain = 1pt and 3 food ; 3 grain = 2 pts and 3 food OR 1 grain = 0 pts ; 2 grain = 1 pt ; 3 grain = 2 pts and 3 food ? It obviously should be the first, but the wording allows for the second. Another example of a poorly worded card rushed to print... |

Slashes are a substitute for "respectively" in the AG2 publisher's style guide so if it were the second option it would say 0/0/3 food instead of not having a slashed part. Also pretty easy to assume that publishers can safely not print an option that's clearly useless (1g to 0pts 0f) | Apr 4, 2020 9:56pm [quote] (Edit: Apr 4, 2020 9:57pm) |
