Does this work with mushroom collector and berry picker? It would be +2f for every action agentricola

This is strictly worse than piece worker. It is slightly different (since the food is left on the space) but this doesn't make the card any stronger or weaker. hala

Is it though? You can take wood from ANY action space. That means, if you have the food, you can take a wood with every action you take, all game long. In a way, it's most similar to the Wood Buyer.

Oh! I had missed that. Now we're talking. It's a non-agressive Wood buyer for Agrigal's liking. hala

Why don't you just pay 1 food to the general supply for 1 wood. This way, I think the card would get a lot more play. At least, I would only play lumberjack if I really needed the 1 wood, or I really thought I might be able to go here again next round and get my 1 food. Otherwise, your helping whoever takes the action next round. goatpig

I like the idea of leaving the food on the action space. It makes the card more interactive. Interactivity is a good thing.

Also, even if you do end up feeding your opponents a bit, any chance to get your food back is worthwhile when you have this guy. You're going to need a heck of a lot of food to use him properly, so putting the food back into the game instead of removing it will probably work to your advantage.

i'm voting yes for testing's sake but i'm pretty sure this puts too much wood into the game to be healthy. even if other players are getting the food you leave on the spaces (no sure thing) that just makes them more food-secure, meaning it gets easier for you to scoop up 5f with Fishing or whatever... ie, the card doesn't add as much 'food pressure' as you think. but we'll see how it plays out i suppose. glengarry

Im still concerned about using this with mushroomcollector.
There will be 1w and 1f on every space you visit and gaining you around 20f just for placing your peeps.

as i read it, this would not combo with mushroom collector in the way you are worried about, agentricola. mushroom collector can NOT leave wood on spaces that don't already accumulate wood, as i understand it. so it would give MC a slight boost on wood taking actions, but i don't think much more (if any) than berry picker or woodcutter does. but for all non wood taking actions mushroom collector would be mute.

also, i think in one of the decks there is a lumberjack. it acts like a "wood foreman", if my memory serves me correctly.

ah, it does
