Whenever you use Clay or Stone for an extension, Renovation, or Improvement, you receive 1 Wood from the general supply (for each new Room, Renovation, or Improvement) before paying its costs. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

I think this card, with Wood Carver, would be pretty strong. Also, any free, passing, or cheap 1W minors would rock with this card. Let's test it as is before it's tweaked though | Dec 15, 2010 9:49pm [quote] |

I've played this in two different games now. In one, it was pretty useless, I think I got 2w from it, in the other game I got maybe 5 or 6 wood, but largely because I build all my rooms in clay and focused my minor selection to clay/stone minors. Even with that, I had to play it in the first two rounds to get the benefit. So, significant benefit with significant effort. I think it's a pretty good card as is. | Feb 22, 2011 1:53pm [quote] |

I don't think it would make a big difference, just be a little more helpful. |
What if I strengthened it by having it give you the wood BEFORE you pay the costs of each room/renovation/improvement?Feb 24, 2011 10:17am [quote] |

-Helps with minor or major improvements that have a wood and clay or stone cost -Helps with building occs and improvements that substitute wood for another resource -Helps with "clay roof" wooden rooms -Does not help when upgrading improvements I think this change would be fine. It might help a little. Note this card is substantially stronger in Moor than in regular Agricola. |
