When you play this card, place 1 Food from the general supply on it. During the Field phase of each Harvest, add 1 Food from the general supply to this card if it has Food on it. At any time, you may take all of the Food from this card.

Forgive me if there has been a similar card, I couldn't think of one, but it seems like an obvious idea.
Along the lines of the ponds, except you get all the food at once, and get more the longer you wait for it. If you take food, you have to take it all, killing it.
I don't like the name, but wasn't feeling creative. If you can think of something on a farm that increases and increases over a long period, then gets harvested and used up, that would work. Especially if a name making it a pond or lake.

'Fattened Calf' comes to mind, but i'd save the name for something involving actual cattle. How about 'Carp Pond' ? those suckers can get awful big. Or 'Stocked Pond' or 'Well-Stocked Pond' ? with that theme, you might say 'place one food from your supply and one from the general supply' (although then you run into hedging on 'what to do if you have no food, so maybe better not to.)

yeah, a slight weakening would be to make you place the initial food from your supply.

Changed the name, then the cost to reflect the theme. This mechanic mirrors aging of liquor or wine more closely than anything else I can think of.

Seems like that would bring in some new mechanic, where a card can be passed while at the same time leaving extra rules in play. The only thing we've done like that is Hala's Chisel.
Not sure how it would work as a passing minor.

Actually i think what he suggests is to give this to the hand of the player to your left when you take the food off it, so that it isnt useless anymore but someone else could play it again.
