Confidant (occ-1+) Place 1 food from your supply on each of the next 2, 3, or 4 round spaces. At the start of these rounds, you get the food back and your choice of a "Sow" or "Build Fences" action. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

Should be: You "may" place 1 food from your supply on the next 2, 3 or 4 round spaces... That way, it's clear what happens if you play this with only 0 or 1 food. |

Good comment, nwoll. However, I also wonder if Uwe meant that one was required to do this in order to get the benefit? So, "Place 1 Food..." would be fine over "You may place 1 Food..." Original text: Place 1 food from your supply on each of the next 2 to 4 round spaces. At the start of these rounds, you get the food back and your choice of a "Sow" or "Build Fences" action. Also, "...next 2 to 4..." is something I've not seen in Agricola before. I would assume that Uwe meant the next 2, 3 and 4 round spaces. In other words, 3 food placings (if possible). Suggested text: Place 1 Food from your supply on each of the next 2, 3 and 4 Round spaces. At the start of these rounds, you receive the food and your choice of a "Sow" or "Build Fences" action. |

Right but if you play this randomly with J2 Narcotics (or Perp Student) then you might not have 2 food. So does the occ get discarded? Do you get the benefit anyway? Do you take beggars? Adding the "you may...if you do..." clause resolves this conflict. |

So if you play in round 4 you can put food on the next 2 round spaces (5 and 6) or next 3 (5, 6 , and 7) or next 4 (5,6,7, and 8 ) |

AFAIK nwoll, if you random into a card that you can't afford because of extra food cost, you get beggars. I think the text of this card is supposed to read as "next 2, 3, or 4 round spaces" (I suggest changing it to that.) So the player would have 3 options of how many future sow/fences they want. |
